Fir Lawn Funeral Chapel

About Fir Lawn Funeral Chapel

Toledo was named for a steamboat that once worked the Cowlitz River, and the town still keeps close to the water, the river moving green past farm fields and dark stands of fir. Fir Lawn Funeral Chapel offers lawn care in Toledo, and its very name calls up green grass beneath tall trees. Grass in this corner of Lewis County grows long and lush on the Pacific storms that sweep inland all winter, and it asks for steady mowing, neat edges and leaves gathered before they mat. In July the town fills for Cheese Days, and every trimmed front yard joins in the welcome. Here, a tended lawn is a mark of respect for the place itself.
