About Ron's Stump Removal & Tree Service, LLC

West of Chehalis the valley floor gives way to the Willapa Hills, and the gravel logging roads that thread back into that timber country are the first to drift shut when snow catches on the big-leaf maples and Douglas fir. Ron's Stump Removal & Tree Service knows those roads from the tree-clearing side of the business, and in a hard winter that same familiarity turns into plowing them open again, working out from the pavement's edge toward homes tucked back in the trees. The work starts before light, because a school bus can't turn around on a one-lane logging road, and a stalled log truck backs up the whole route behind it. By midmorning the ruts are packed hard and the fir boughs have shed their load onto the ferns below. It's a narrow kind of work, measured in single driveways and short private roads out where the timber closes in around Chehalis on its western edge.
