About Northwest Services Insulation & Landscaping

The craftsman houses of Tacoma's North Slope stand close together on their narrow lots, porches and hedges laid out long before anyone worried about a driveway wide enough for a truck. Northwest Services Insulation & Landscaping works both sides of a house's winter readiness — the attic that keeps heat in and the yard that has to stay walkable once the temperature drops. Down toward Proctor's brick storefronts the streets run a little wider, but the same old plantings line them, boxwoods and rhododendrons that hold snow longer than anyone expects. In the cold months the crew clears walks and drives around those old foundations without disturbing root systems that were there long before the houses needed a plow at all. It's a neighborhood built for a mild climate, and every hard freeze is a reminder of how carefully it has to be kept moving.
