About New Directions Yard & Lawn Maintenance

Spring shows up underfoot in Fern Hill before it shows up in the sky — the ground softens, the moss swells, and the grass starts running two days after every rain. New Directions Yard & Lawn Maintenance meets it there, mowing the first light cuts of the season, edging the long straight sidewalks that march south along Pacific Avenue, and pulling winter's mess out of the beds so the shrubs have room to move. Through summer it is mowing and trimming on a rhythm, hedges shaped back off the porch rails, weeds taken before they set seed. The reward is small and specific: a yard where the border is a line, not a suggestion, and the strip along the fence looks cut on purpose. Come fall, the leaves get gathered and the whole place is set down for winter. A yard turning a corner is what the name is about.
