About Hastrada Landscape Maintenance Services

Wright Park's glass conservatory sits behind its formal beds like something out of an older, slower Tacoma, elms overhead old enough to have shaded these same paths back when the surrounding streets were still dirt. Hastrada Landscape Maintenance Services tends grounds like that across the city, and when a hard freeze moves in, the same care that goes into a hedge line in July goes into clearing the path to a front door in January. Tacoma's older neighborhoods carry a lot of mature planting — big-leaf maples, rhododendrons, boxwood hedges — and a heavy wet snow can bend all of it if nobody's watching. The crew clears walks and drives without tearing up the beds alongside them, working the edges by hand where a machine would do too much. It's the kind of grounds work that barely shows once it's done, which is more or less the point.
