About Custom Landscape Construction

Parkland grew up on the flat outwash prairie south of Tacoma, ground so level and gravelly that early settlers found it better for grazing than farming, and Pacific Lutheran University's brick buildings still anchor the neighborhood the way a church anchors a small town. Winter on this prairie is mostly the Puget Sound pattern — gray and wet — until a cold snap drops out of the Fraser Valley and turns every driveway and front walk to glass overnight. Custom Landscape Construction clears driveways and walkways through the streets around PLU and toward Spanaway, working fast in the morning dark before students and commuters head out. A cold snap here doesn't last, but it doesn't need to; one hard freeze on flat, wet ground is enough to make the whole neighborhood cautious.
