About Apex Tree Experts - Tacoma

Point Defiance holds some of the last old-growth left inside Tacoma's city limits, big firs and cedars standing along Five Mile Drive with the Narrows and the Sound dropping away below. Apex Tree Experts works that same canopy across the city, and winter is when a tall tree's real weight shows — ice loading a limb until it lets go over a driveway or a power line. The crew clears snow and downed wood together in the cold months, because out here the two jobs almost always arrive on the same morning. Tacoma's bluff neighborhoods make for narrow drives and steep pitches, so getting a driveway open often means dealing with what came down onto it first. There's a particular kind of quiet on the Point in January, fog low over the water, and the work of clearing a path back to the road fits right into it.
