About Palmer Landscape Design

Every good yard begins as an idea somebody had in February, staring out a window at frozen ground and imagining what it could become. Palmer Landscape Design starts at that end — laying out beds, walks, plantings and lawn so the pieces sit right together — then keeps the grass mowed, trimmed and edged once it is all in. Around Cannon Hill Park and the Comstock streets the old landscapes set a high bar; those were designed too, a century back, and they still hold. Watching a drawing turn into real ground over one Spokane summer is the reason to do this work at all. And the first clean cut across a new lawn is a fine moment by itself.
