About Latah Creek Landscaping

Latah Creek cuts a deep, brushy valley into the land southwest of downtown, the kind of draw that holds cold air and shadow long after the ridges above it catch the sun. Latah Creek Landscaping works the driveways rising out of that valley at dawn, when the creek bottom is still blue-dark and the rims above are already gold. Snow lingers longer down in the draw than it does two blocks up on level ground, so the crew treats every run along the creek as its own small climate. Ice forms first where the shade holds, along the north-facing pitches, and that's where the salt goes down heaviest. By the time the sun finally reaches the creek bottom itself, the driveways above it have long since been cleared.
