About Big Buns Lawn and Plow Service

Manito Park locks its gates early once the light goes, and by dusk Big Buns Lawn and Plow Service is usually finishing the last driveway on its South Hill route. Headlights swing across snowbanks shaped like the old sledding hills below the bluff, and the air up there carries the cold straight off the ridge with nothing to slow it down. The crew works the steep, pitched driveways that climb off the avenues, the ones where a car left overnight can freeze to the pavement by morning. They clear them anyway, blade angled just right for the grade, salt going down last so it has all night to work. Down below, the lights of the valley are just starting to come on as the last truck heads home.
