About Swiftwater Earthworks LLC

Cle Elum takes its name from swift water, and the Yakima proves the point every spring, running hard and cold past the cottonwoods below South Cle Elum. Swiftwater Earthworks LLC keeps a similar pace on the lawns above the river — mowing before the day's heat settles in, edging along gravel and concrete, trimming out fence lines and gathering whatever the wind brought down. On this side of the Cascades a lawn is a small deliberate green in a country of sage and basalt, and it earns its keep by looking looked-after. Mornings up here start cool enough to see your breath even in July. Good hour, good work, and a yard left in order behind it.
