Kenny Tree

About Kenny Tree

Bigleaf maples crack under ice out along the back roads outside Snohomish on the coldest mornings, a sound sharper than anything the valley's usual rain ever makes. Kenny Tree answers those calls, clearing what's come down across a driveway or fence line before it can do more damage sitting there. The same truck plows the driveway itself once the limb is out of the way, since a homeowner still has to get to work. It isn't frequent work in a valley that trades mostly in rain, but a single hard freeze can bring down what months of wind never touched. By afternoon the ice has usually let go and the wood's stacked at the curb, waiting on drier weather to deal with the rest.
