About Hunts Chimney Sweep Inc

Hamlin Park holds a strip of real old-growth forest inside Shoreline's grid of streets, a ravine deep enough that the creek at the bottom of it never quite freezes even when the yards above do. On a hard cold night, chimneys around the park run harder than usual, and Hunts Chimney Sweep is out early clearing the ice and snow load off roof valleys and chimney caps before a blocked flue turns into something worse. It's careful work above the tree line of the ravine, checking a roof edge by edge while woodsmoke drifts out of half the houses on the block. Down below, the creek keeps running through the ferns like the cold never reached it at all. Up top, the work is what keeps that gap between warm house and cold roof from closing wrong.
