About Artistic Yard Care

Late on a June evening in Innis Arden the light comes in low and sideways off the water, and every hedge in the neighborhood suddenly shows its outline — which is when you find out whether anyone has been shaping it. Artistic Yard Care treats a property as something with lines in it: shrubs pruned to a deliberate form, lawn mown in even passes, edges cut so the curve of a bed reads as a curve and not an accident. Through the growing months the routine holds steady — mowing, trimming, weeding, mulch refreshed where the rain has thinned it. When autumn strips the maples along the ravines, the same eye goes to clearing, so the bones of a yard show plainly against the wet gray. A finished visit should look less like a chore completed than a drawing gone over in ink.
