About United Landscaping & Tree Services

Union sits north of Shelton on Hood Canal, close enough to the water that oyster stakes show at low tide right across the road from some of the driveways up there. United Landscaping & Tree Services works those canal-front properties in a cold snap, clearing storm-downed limbs first and then plowing driveways that run right down to the waterline. The canal holds its own damp chill longer than the drier ground back toward Shelton, so ice tends to linger on the shaded stretches nearest the water. It's a two-part job out there most winter mornings, tree work before the plow blade, since a fir limb across a narrow waterfront driveway has to come off before anything else can happen. By the time the crew moves on, the driveway is clear all the way to the water's edge, oyster stakes and all, waiting for the tide to do what it does next.
