About SM Landscape

An old logging locomotive sits parked downtown near Railroad Avenue, still holding the shape of what these hills once shipped out. SM Landscape works the blocks behind that main street, where the yards are narrow, the fences are close, and every pass has to be measured. Midday is the hour: sun finally over the ridge, mower running, the smell of cut grass mixing with fir. The work is lawn mowing, edging, trimming and hauling the yard debris off so nothing sits in the corners going soft. Neat grass on a mill-town street has a way of lifting a whole block, and that is the point of the trip.
