About Carlson Tree Care

The foothills northwest of Shelton rise fast into Olympic National Forest, and the cold comes down off them well before it reaches downtown. Carlson Tree Care works those upper driveways first, tucked back under second-growth fir where a skiff of snow turns to ice in the shade by early afternoon. Storm damage is half the job here, a hemlock top snapping under wet snow or a limb laid across a gravel road, and clearing it usually means the driveway gets plowed the same afternoon the tree comes down. There's a rhythm to working this close to real forest, quiet enough to hear a chainsaw echo, quick enough to have the road open before dark settles into the trees for good. By dusk the driveway is bare gravel again, and the woods above it are just woods.
