About Calmo Landscaping

Out past the edge of Shelton the fir rows still stand in ranks, the old Christmas-tree ground that gave this town its December reputation. Calmo Landscaping works the yards between those fields and the highway — mowing, edging, hedge and shrub trimming, brush cut back from wherever it wants to creep in. Blackberry and alder will take a Mason County lawn in a single season if nobody argues with them, and arguing with them is part of the trade. What's left afterward is an open, shaped yard with a line you can read from the road. That kind of order only exists as long as somebody keeps it, and keeping it is the point.
