Lawn X

About Lawn X

East of town the old Northern State grounds lie open — brick buildings, long slopes of grass, an orchard gone half wild — and it takes an enormous amount of mowing to keep any green that size in order. Lawn X brings the same discipline to a smaller scale, working Sedro-Woolley lawns week by week with mowing, trimming and edging. Beds get weeded, hedges get cut back to their line, and the clippings ride out with the crew. Seasonal cleanups clear the leaf fall and the branches that come down over winter, so spring begins on clean ground. There is a particular pleasure in that first pass of the season, when the lawn goes from shaggy to shaped in an afternoon.
