Downtown Sedro-Woolley wakes up slow — the murals on Metcalf Street catching the first gray light before the diner sets out its sandwich board — and JT Clean is usually the reason the sidewalks in front of those old mill-town storefronts are already scraped and salted by then. Ice forms fast on Ferry Street where the brick buildings shade the pavement all morning, and a business owner unlocking the door at eight wants bare concrete, not a slick step. The work runs from walkway to walkway along the block, then out to the gravel lots behind the shops where delivery trucks need a clear turn. It's plain work, done before most of the town is awake, but it's the difference between a customer walking in easily and one turning back at the curb. By the time full daylight reaches downtown, the block is dry and walkable, and nobody who crosses it ever has to think about how it got that way.
