Ken's Yard Service

About Ken's Yard Service

By late October the big-leaf maples over Wallingford let go all at once, and a lawn can disappear under gold in one wet night. Ken's Yard Service turns up with rakes, blowers and the flat certainty that the grass is still down there somewhere. From the streets above Gas Works, with the skyline standing across Lake Union, the route goes block by block — leaves cleared, turf mowed a final time, edges cut so the lines hold through the rain. Spring brings the same yards their first cut, the trimmer along every fence post, the hedges brought back to shape. Steady visits, and the yard never gets ahead of you.
