About Healthy Lawns inc.

March comes to Seattle as one long grey exhale, and the lawns north of the Ship Canal wake up spongy with moss, packed hard by nine months of rain. That is the season Healthy Lawns inc. lives for: hollow tines pulled through wet clay, fresh seed worked down into the holes, a feeding timed to the first warm week. Around Green Lake, where every yard is read by walkers on the path, the change shows inside a month — a fuller stand of grass, a straight seam where turf meets sidewalk. Through summer the mowing height stays honest and the weeds get pushed back off the borders. It is patient work, and the reward is a lawn that comes back thicker than it went in.
