About JD Tree Service

The East Lake Sammamish Trail runs along the water's edge under a canopy of cedar and fir, and the same trees that shade it in summer are what come down across nearby driveways when a winter storm loads their branches with wet snow. The crew takes those driveways one at a time, cutting the fallen cedar into rounds and clearing a path wide enough for a car to get through. Along the lake in winter the water sits flat and pewter-colored, the trail empty except for the sound of a saw somewhere back from the shoreline. Some limbs come down clean and whole; others splinter and need to be worked apart piece by piece before the wood can even be moved. A driveway open again by afternoon, cedar chips still scattered at its edge, is the plainest sign the storm has passed through that particular yard.
