Cascade Yard Company

About Cascade Yard Company

Two or three mornings a month the clouds pull back east and the Cascades stand up sharp behind the plateau, Mount Si square and blue at the head of the valley. Cascade Yard Company takes those mornings as they come and works the rest anyway, because Sammamish grass grows in the gray just as fast. Mowing, trimming, edging, clearing the clippings off the walk — done in order, it turns a shaggy yard back into something with shape in under an hour. We care about the finish line most: the seam between lawn and pavement, cut so it looks drawn rather than mowed. Rain returns by afternoon and the grass drinks it in, greener than before.
