Tough Dirt

About Tough Dirt

Winter ground around Rochester is heavy stuff, clay that holds water like a bowl and turns a simple mowing job into an exercise in footwork and judgment. Tough Dirt takes that as the job description rather than the excuse, mowing when the ground will carry it, trimming the wet margins, clearing the sodden mat of leaves and grass that smothers a lawn from below. The satisfaction is in the after: a soaked yard that still looks cut, still holds a line, still drains instead of puddling. Boots get ruined out here, and the lawns look better for it. They work Rochester and the surrounding country toward Gate, Independence Valley and Grand Mound.
