Barefoot Lawn

About Barefoot Lawn

Rochester mornings begin under a low ceiling of river fog, the Black River bottom breathing white until the sun finally burns a hole through it. Barefoot Lawn works those first cool hours, when dew still beads on every blade and the mower leaves a dark stripe behind it like a brushstroke. The work is mowing, edging and trimming, done at the pace a prairie town keeps: steady, unhurried, finished before the heat arrives. What they are after is the feeling of a yard you would actually walk across without shoes on, even underfoot and clean at every border. Lawns get that attention across Rochester and out toward Grand Mound, Littlerock and Independence Valley.
