KLEEN KUT LAWNS

About KLEEN KUT LAWNS

Richland's backdrop is shrub-steppe — the bare, tan hills east of the river that most of the year look scorched by sun, but that a real winter storm turns a flat, uniform white, right down to the sagebrush. KLEEN KUT LAWNS brings the same eye for a clean edge to snow that it brings to a lawn the rest of the year, plowing driveways and cutting walkways with lines straight enough that the cul-de-sacs look almost drafted rather than shoveled. The desert light here is sharp even in winter, low sun bouncing hard off fresh snow, which means a rough job shows every flaw by nine in the morning. Working the wide, flat Richland lots street by street, the crew clears drive to curb and curb to door, no half-measures left for the thaw to expose. When the sun does its work later in the day, what's left behind is bare concrete and a clean line where the snow still holds at the yard's edge.
