About ALG Handyman & Lawn Services

When a cold snap grips the Tri-Cities, it doesn't always bring snow first — it brings ice fog, a still gray blanket that rolls up off the Columbia and clings to Richland's grid of quiet streets until it freezes onto every surface it touches. ALG Handyman & Lawn Services works through that fog on the neighborhood streets near the river, clearing driveways and walkways while the rime is still soft enough to shovel, before the sun — when it does show — glazes it into something harder. Richland's blocks are wide and flat compared to the hill towns west of the mountains, laid out for easy walking to the river parks, and keeping those sidewalks clear matters as much as the driveways do. It's patient, early work, done house by house while the fog is still hanging in the bare orchard rows at the edge of town. By midmorning, if the fog lifts, the street looks ordinary again — just a little damp, and a lot safer underfoot.
