The New Northern Tree Services

About The New Northern Tree Services

Every few winters, a cold north wind pushes down out of the Fraser Valley and through the passes, and Renton's ridge neighborhoods — the ones with the long views west over the lake — take the brunt of it, snow blowing sideways instead of falling straight down. The New Northern Tree Services works those exposed properties, where drifts pile against fence lines and garage doors while the sheltered blocks two streets over stay nearly bare. It takes a different read of the wind to know where the snow will actually gather, and which driveways will need clearing twice in one storm because of it. The crew moves house to house along the ridge, shoveling drifts back from doors and clearing the long driveways that catch the wind broadside. When the outflow finally breaks and the air goes still again, the ridge looks like any other Renton street — just quieter, and a little more tired from the wind.
