Integrity Tree Works

About Integrity Tree Works

Renton climbs in tiers — from the flat shine of Lake Washington up through Talbot Hill and Benson Hill to the ridgeline neighborhoods where the Douglas firs stand thick enough to block a whole street's worth of sky. Ice takes hold on those grades before it touches anywhere else in town, gripping hard, and a driveway that looks flat from the porch turns out to have a foot of drop hidden in it. Integrity Tree Works works those hillside streets first, plowing switchbacks and clearing the walks under branches still bowed from the last snowfall. Down below, along the calmer blocks near the Cedar River trail, the work slows to a careful shovel-and-salt pass, porch step by porch step. It's a town built on slopes, and keeping people moving on them safely, before the school run or the early shift, is its own kind of satisfaction.
