About Stark & Sons Landscape Maintenance

Rainier sits out where the firs give way to open prairie, and on a clear morning the mountain the town borrowed its name from stands over the whole south end of Thurston County. Stark & Sons Landscape Maintenance works between showers here, which is most of the calendar — the grass barely pauses, so neither does the mowing. Trimming, edging, and the clippings carried off so a wet lawn doesn't mat down into itself. The best minute of any job comes when the drizzle quits, thin light finds a way through, and the fresh-cut turf steams a little in the cool. From the Yelm-Tenino Trail to the back roads toward Tenino, it is honest work: keeping green things in their proper lines in country that grows them whether you ask or not.
