Juniors Multi Services

About Juniors Multi Services

In Quincy, green is something the valley agrees to — the water arrives by canal, and a lawn holds it the way an orchard row does. Juniors Multi Services works the early hours, before the Columbia Basin sun stands straight overhead and the sprinklers give more back to the air than to the roots. Mowing, trimming, edging: the grass cut even, the line along the walk drawn as straight as the rows out past the last block. By mid-morning the heat is coming up off the pavement and the yard is already finished, cooling under its own shade. There is a plain satisfaction in tending grass in a place that grows things for a living.
