About Safe Chimney Inc

Downtown Puyallup keeps its old brick storefronts and the Meeker Mansion's gables lit up after dark, and on a snowy night woodsmoke curls straight up from a dozen chimneys before bending off in whatever wind has found its way down from the hills above. Safe Chimney works those same streets after the light has gone, clearing sidewalks and driveways in front of the century-old houses while the smoke overhead is the only thing still moving. There's something steadying about a block gone that quiet, snow muffling the usual traffic noise, streetlamps throwing long yellow circles on a sidewalk just swept clean. Getting the walk safe before the last porch light clicks off means somebody's morning starts on solid footing instead of ice. It's slow, careful work best done under streetlight rather than daylight, in a part of town built long before anyone plowed anything at all.
