About Larson Logging & Tree Service, Inc.

East of town, where Puyallup gives way to the timbered foothills climbing toward Orting, the snow that skips the open lowland often catches on the tree line first. Larson Logging & Tree Service works that edge country, clearing driveways and access roads cut back into stands of Douglas fir where a hard freeze can turn needles and snow into a solid crust by evening. Getting a truck or a plow blade down a narrow lane between timber, without clipping a trunk or losing the shoulder, is a different discipline than clearing an open street in town. As the light goes early behind the foothills this time of year, headlamps and truck beams do most of the work by five o'clock, cutting a clean track back through the trees toward a porch light waiting at the end of it. It's quiet out at the timber's edge in a way the fields below rarely are, snow or no snow.
