Five Star Tree Service

About Five Star Tree Service

Up on South Hill, where the fir and cedar stands crowd right up against the driveways, a snowfall in the Puyallup Valley carries a weight that flat, open ground never feels; branches bow, and now and then one lets go under the load. Five Star Tree Service moves through those wooded lots at midday, once the worst of a storm has passed, clearing driveways buried under both snow and whatever a heavy fall has knocked loose from the canopy overhead. It's slower work than a plowed street in town, threading a blade or a shovel around downed limbs without tearing up the lawn underneath the white. From the top of the hill the whole valley spreads out below, bulb fields, the river, and on a clear day after a storm, Rainier standing sharp against a washed-blue sky. Getting a driveway open again under those trees, with the mountain visible for the first time in days, feels like the valley handing back its own view.
