Tyler's lawn care service is already three houses in — mowing, edging along the driveway, trimming where the deck rails crowd the mower, then clearing the clippings off the pavement before anyone tracks them inside. Yards above Yukon Harbor tilt toward the water, which makes a straight mowing line harder to earn and better to look at. What gets remembered is small and specific: a sharp edge along the walk, the smell of cut grass, nothing left behind but stripes. The tide goes out, the gulls come in, and the next lawn is waiting.
