Northwest Tree Services

About Northwest Tree Services

At dawn Sinclair Inlet goes flat as tin, the foot ferry crosses toward the shipyard, and Bay Street is quiet except for the gulls. Northwest Tree Services starts its days along that waterfront and in the hills behind it, where cedar and fir tower over the old houses. Tree removal on those narrow lots is measured in inches, a fir taken down through the gap between two roofs, sections lowered by rope onto a tarp. Trimming and pruning keep a neighborhood from closing over itself, canopies lifted, deadwood dropped out, a stretch of the inlet handed back to a porch that had lost it. Storm damage cleanup finishes the story every winter, with the driveway cleared and the wood stacked before the light goes.
