About Jim's Field Mowing

By July the fields out toward the Nisqually bottomland stand chest-high and going tan at the tips, with swallows working the air just above them. Jim's Field Mowing takes on that scale of grass around Olympia — pastures, back acreage, vacant lots, the parts of a property that got away over the spring. This is mowing measured in acres rather than yards, knocking tall growth down to something open and passable again. Watching a shaggy field turn into clear ground in a single afternoon is a specific and honest pleasure. Then the light goes long over the valley and the deck cools ticking on the trailer.
