MY GUY

About MY GUY

August on the flat streets off Whidbey Avenue goes tawny at the edges, the rain shadow doing what it always does to an island August. MY GUY handles the lawns through it, mowing at the right height, edging clean and hauling the clippings off so nothing bakes on the driveway. The name says the arrangement plainly: one call, and the yard is handled. Regular visits keep grass from bolting when the rain returns in September and everything green wakes up at once. It is neighborhood work, on neighborhood streets, and the yards along the route start to look like a set.
