Eastside Land Care

About Eastside Land Care

The Mukilteo Speedway climbs from the ferry dock clear up the hill, and the trucks that beat the morning line are usually the ones towing mowers. Eastside Land Care runs its route in that early window, when the pavement is still dark and dew silvers the lawns above Chennault Beach. Grass grows here nine months of the year, so mowing is a rhythm rather than an event: weekly passes, edges cut back off the concrete, walks blown clear before the trailer gate goes up. Cleanups take the fir needles and maple leaves away before they mat down and yellow the turf beneath. By the time the ferry has made its third crossing, another block looks tended.
