About Moreno's landscape

Winter in the Moxee Valley is dry, bright and cold, and when the last of it lifts in March the lawns come out flattened and dull, waiting on somebody. Moreno's landscape begins right there — the first mow of the year, edges recut where frost blurred them, trimming along the fences and foundations that stood bare all winter. From that reset the schedule carries straight through the long Yakima Valley growing season, week on week, into fall. Basalt, sagebrush and irrigated green all share this ground, and the line between them gets drawn by hand, mowing by mowing. Moxee, Terrace Heights and Yakima are all within the run.
