B.L.R'S LAWN AND MAINTENANCE

About B.L.R'S LAWN AND MAINTENANCE

Morning in Montesano arrives as fog off the Chehalis, lying low over the river flats until it burns back around nine. B.L.R'S LAWN AND MAINTENANCE works the hours on either side of that lift, mowing damp grass into clean stripes, trimming tight along fence lines and foundations, edging the walks so the line reads sharp from the street. Rain keeps this stretch of Grays Harbor County green most of the year, which means a yard here grows whether anyone is watching or not, and the answer to that is simply showing up on the day. Clippings carried off, beds pulled back to their borders, the strip around the mailbox squared away. By the time the sun clears the alders, the place looks like somebody cared about it, because somebody did.
