About Leon's Mowing & Machinery

First light in March, frost still silvering the trailer ramp, engines turning over one at a time in the cold. Midland wakes up slowly that time of year, but the grass has already started without asking anybody's permission. Leon's Mowing & Machinery runs the route from there, mowing, cutting the walk lines to an edge, trimming the fence rows and the awkward ground around sheds and posts. Sharp blades cut grass instead of tearing it, and the difference shows up in the color of a lawn two days later. By midmorning the frost is off, the truck is three streets on, and the yards behind it look a season ahead.
