Del Pizzo's Lawn Care & Services

About Del Pizzo's Lawn Care & Services

Up the hill from Mead the Green Bluff orchards keep their late-summer order — peaches, then apples, then woodsmoke drifting through the evening air. Down in town the lawns are still growing hard, fed by long light and water set out after supper. Del Pizzo's Lawn Care & Services works that stretch of the year with a mower and a steady route, cutting, edging along the driveways, and trimming the corners by hand. Grass cut on the right week looks different from grass cut whenever — thicker, more even, holding its color longer. It is worth doing that way, and the yards along the route show it.
