TOP DOG TURF

About TOP DOG TURF

August in Lakewood runs dry and gold. Out at Fort Steilacoom Park the big meadow goes the color of straw by noon and the dogs run it flat, and every yard in town sits on the same thin, stony ground taking the same heat. TOP DOG TURF meets that head on — a tight cut, crisp edges, trimming along the posts and beds, feeding, weed control, and aeration that opens the soil so a hose does more than run off. Turf a household can actually live on is the whole idea: grass that comes back after the paws and the wrestling and the sprinkler, still even, still green at the door. Work runs through Lakewood and on to Tillicum, Parkland, Spanaway, Tacoma and University Place.
