About GREEN PROJECTS LANDSCAPE LLC

The first flurry of the season over Fort Steilacoom Park tends to catch walkers around Waughop Lake off guard, dusting the old farm fields white for an afternoon before it's gone. GREEN PROJECTS LANDSCAPE has learned to read that first flurry as a signal rather than a nuisance — it means the next one, whenever it lands, probably won't melt by lunch. So the crew moves through the neighborhoods that ring the park, clearing driveways and front walks while the powder is still light and easy, well ahead of the freeze that always follows a Lakewood snow by nightfall. Elderly walkers who still make their loop around the lake in winter recognize the trucks now, idling at the curb between houses. What they're after is simple: a walk you can take without watching your feet, in a park that's usually green, offering one white afternoon they didn't have to worry through.
