Lakeland North sits up on a ridge above the White River valley, close enough to Lake Tapps that plenty of its streets share the same view of Mount Rainier on a clear day, and it's the lawns tucked into those forested subdivisions that Northwest Lawn Legends tends most of the year. Winter turns the job around: instead of mowing, the crew clears driveways and walkways once a front off the mountain leaves a skim of snow or ice across the ridge. The ridge holds onto cold longer than the valley floor below it, so streets up here sometimes still need clearing after Bonney Lake's have already thawed. It's the same route-by-route approach as the summer mowing schedule, a blade in place of a mower deck. Once the ridge warms back up, the lawns are the main job again, green against the fir all around them.
