The wooded ridges rising away from Lake Stevens hold their fir and cedar cover year-round, and a storm that dusts those higher streets white often leaves the lake itself untouched below. Greenridge Landscape works those same hillside properties through the growing season, and once real snow reaches the ridge, the mowers and shears give way to trucks and plow blades instead. A driveway cut into a slope collects snow differently than one on flat ground, so the steepest cuts get cleared first, before the grade turns to glare ice underneath. Streets climbing away from the water sometimes need a second pass that the flatter lakeside blocks never do. Once the melt starts running down toward the lake in thin rivulets, it's beds and borders again for the rest of the crew's season.
