Hogar y Jardin

About Hogar y Jardin

Downtown Kirkland keeps its yards small: a strip of lawn, a courtyard behind a cedar fence, a bed of ferns along a walk that catches every leaf blown up from Lake Street. Hogar y Jardin tends those close-in spaces — mowing what there is to mow, edging, weeding, trimming shrubs back to shape, sweeping and clearing until a small garden reads as intentional. Rain arrives off the water in soft afternoon bands and leaves the whole block shining, and in that light a tidy courtyard looks like a room you could sit down in. The work spreads out from the waterfront blocks into the neighborhoods on the hill above them. Small does not mean simple, and a little garden kept well is a genuine pleasure to walk into.
