About Green Knight Landscaping & Nursery

April along Forbes Creek: alder catkins down across the path, the ravine loud with runoff, and flats of new plants waiting on a tailgate for the ground to warm. Green Knight Landscaping & Nursery does the planting side of things — choosing what suits a particular yard, setting shrubs and perennials, mulching them in, then pruning and tending as they fill out their spaces. Lawn care runs right alongside: mowing, edging, bed weeding, the ordinary upkeep that keeps a young planting from vanishing into the grass. This is generous growing country, cool and wet and acidic, kind to rhododendron and sword fern alike, and gardens here turn ambitious fast when nobody is watching. Watching, week to week, is most of the job.
